This week we are enjoying being "In the Garden" with butterflies everywhere !!

I couldn't resist taking the butterflies to the extreme for my card using a combination of Marianne Designs, punches and Cheery Lynn to make them fly absolutely everywhere.

I used Perfect Pearls to dress them up a bit

and Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge to cut the fence, added some doodling and bakers twine

The doily and smaller cuts are made with a brand new set of dies from Spellbinders called Delightful Circles
I used this weeks sketch from the  Sketch Saturday Challenge Blog and have entered my card just for fun !! x !!
Lynn's on line shop continues to be under construction but don't forget to pay her a visit at The Craft Den if  you are near Sheffield.

FCCB Challenge #149 Kiss The Cook x

OH YEAH !!
We all love the cook x

Hello and welcome to my Monday post for FCCB
Challenge #149 Kiss the Cook
This week we were challenged by the lovely Janea to use a recipe on our project and here's what I came up with using the beautiful Lili of the Valley stamps "Sprinkled with Sugar" and "Recipe Sentiments" and of course my amazing Cricut Expression 2
I love my little pinny but it was the very devil to photograph but I have several close ups to share as always
I used Every Day Paper Dolls Cartridge to make my pinny - cut at fit to page on plain white card, 12x12  Papermania Spring Time Papers and flocked white Doodle Bug card stock
I cut the little oven gloves, wooden spoon and rolling pin using the cut to scale button to make life easy. I then cut a white piece of Kanban stamping card at 90mm with a patterned shadow cut using George and Basic Shapes cartridge
I cut the top of the pinny in the flock card, stuck it onto the white card and then added the bottom half in pink gingham after pleating 2 paper doilies around the back to create the lace. They were glued in place with Cosmic Shimmer Glue
Every piece was highlighted around the edges with VersaColor ink in Baby Blue and Petal Pink
As promised to Lorraine out came the stamps and Promarkers, I used the blue Versa Color  ink again and embossed in holographic powder to keep the images soft but sparkly
I used seam binding for the ties and lots of lovely card candi sent to me by Lynn at the Craft Den to finish.
Please pop over and visit the fabulous design team at FCCB and then join us with your own project. Mr Linky is open from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday.
Please use at least 1 cricut cut and tell us which cart it is from to be in with a chance of a prize and top 5 Blinkie for your blog.

FCCB Challenge #133 !! x

MONDAY
it's
MONDAY !!

Which means its time for another challenge to start over at FCCB ...

This week we are
DOWN ON THE FARM

So, everyone is making a project with a farm animal on it

Challenge #133 runs from 0800 Monday to 2400 Sunday US Mountain Time

Please show your support for the fabulous DT HERE

I'm afraid my project has had to be quick and easy this week and apologies for the lack of recent posts too, I have been decorating with the help of my beautiful daughters and their very clever other halves.
The whole house has been in total chaos and in between working and socialising its taking us a while but it is sooo worth it !! !!

My Cricut lunch box has been cut on the fit to page setting using the amazing Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 cartridge.
I cut a pig (Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge) to fill the longest side and doodled over both him and the box.
I used Cricut Lyrical Lyrics for the "Piggin Hungry" slogan.
I'm afraid there are no embellishments as I simply can't get to them at the moment lol !! !! !!

I have a run of birthdays coming up so I hope my posts will be a bit more regular again very soon
and having retrieved my expression from the cupboard my fingers are starting to itch ... always a good sign of happy crafty days to come !!

FCCB Challenge 127 On The Job

Happy Monday Morning Ladies
Well it's back to work for me after a much needed week off, my card for the FCCB challenge this week is a Good Luck/Leaving card I hope it isn't a premonition of one of our fab team leaving lol...

Challenge #127
ON THE JOB
Create a project using an occupational character
Our challenge runs from 0800 today until 2400 Sunday night (US Mountain Time)
As always, please drop in and have a look at the inspiration provided by the amazing DT, HERE

I folded a 12x12 textured Bassil Basics card in half  and cut a base 5mm smaller all round in white card and distressed it using Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress ink and splodged it with my new Antique Linen dabber. I stuck three pieces of twine on in a random pattern and stuck it down with Pin flair for depth.

Using George and Basic shapes I cut three squares at 10cm and 2x7cm  and repeated with the shadow function in 2 co-ordinating pieces of blue card.
All the "nurse" bits were cut on Every Day Paper Dolls please excuse the huge injections it really is the psychiatric nurses humour in me escaping but I did manage to stop myself adding the coffee mug even if the clip board did sneak in !!
I cut the letters with Cricut Alphabet and added doodling ... not a gem or flower in sight !!
The two large syringes and plaster were clear embossed.
I kinda like the plain and simple just for a change !!

Happy Monday!!
Over at FCCB this week we are celebrating the Olympics and what a fabulous event it has been!!

|Challenge #124
"OLYMPIC'S"
(Sports theme)

As ever please come and see the fabulous DT projects at FCCB....
The Challenge runs from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday (Mountain Time)

Not having been blessed with a single sporty bone in my body but having thoroughly enjoyed watching the happy smiling faces of TEAM GB, and all the teams from around our world celebrating their great achievements, I made a cheerleader to show my support from the sofa !!
She is a massive 11.50" tall and has been stood cheering our teams on by the TV during the event.
Sadly the photo is not the best but she has lace on her dress and glitter pom poms, along with lots of ribbon bows and embossed trainer's.
All the cuts are from Everyday Paper Dolls.
I hope everyone enjoyed the closing ceremony yesterday-now music and lots of noise I CAN identify with !!
I loved it!!

PS
My baby brother WAS blessed with lots of sporty bones and today starts his trip from Lands end to John O'Groats in aid of Alzheimer's Research with his friends Peter and Katie.
I will be changing my cheerleaders Dress to Team LEJOG and she will cheering from my Mum and Dad's car when they do their stint as the "roadies" later in the ride.

FCCB....Monday Challenge

It's time for another Monday challenge over at
FCCB!!
WOW where did the week go??
I only had one day off and I thought I was going to struggle to meet my deadline but I should have remembered that the Cricut will always come up trumps and not panicked lol !!

Challenge #122 S'more anyone? features a project with a camping theme (Tent, Bonfire, Canoe etc) and runs from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday (Mountain Time)

Please come and visit the Design Team HERE the project are, as always, fab x

For my project this week I have gone BIG!!
Big is beautiful and also easier to work with in a hurry....
I started with a 12"x12" yellow textured card for the back ground and added a green 11"x11" Elegant Edges cut slightly off set and "grunged" with distress inks Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo. I splodged some embossing powders down one side with the left overs from the fire...
To make the fire I repeated the 5" cut from Everyday Paper Dolls in all the colours, cut and embossed various bits and stuck it together with foam pads for lots of dimension.
I did the same with the girl and her accessories cutting at 8" and adding some faux stitching.
Due to the time factor I've created a fake scrapbook page!!
Fake 'cause it lacks photo's and journalling so I added the sun, fence and grass as compensation and to balance the empty spaces!!
The only non Cricut bits are the foam flowers
Easy peasy but so much fun.

Proudest New Best Big Bro EVER !! x

Quick card this evening, made for Louie the proudest new big brother ever!!
The paper doll image and bicycle were cut on my Cricut using the Paper Dolls Cartridge with George and Basic Shapes letters for the name. The small letters are a Docrafts die and I completely forget which cartridge the rosette was cut from !! It's been a busy week and the brain cell is tired tonight lol !!
