Happy Monday !!

Happy FCCB Challenge Day !!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge
#186 Add at least 1 ribbon and 1 button to your project...

...Its not my week to play but it's definitely my favourite type of challenge

I used some beautiful Prima papers and Docrafts textured card stock for the layers on my card, ruffed them up round the edges and added a faint touch of distress ink
The banner is cut from Artiste

The flower is also cut from Artiste and sits on top of some raffia ribbon with a loose bow and loops of twine

Please come and join us over at FCCB, we have two challenge winners prizes this week and as always will be show casing our top 5 favourites - did I ever tell you how much I love doing that post ??
(I think I did !! !! !!)
Please use a least one Cricut cut, name the cartridge, link back to FCCB AND remember the ribbon and button !!
Fhew... I hope I remembered all the instructions he he he !!
Looking forward to a wander round cyber space to visit your blog's and see your entries...

FCCB Challenge #168 Cute as a Bug

Monday !!
It's Monday !!

Welcome to my post for this weeks FCCB Challenge
Challenge #168 is all about BUGS !!
Butterflies are not strictly bugs I guess but it was too hot and sunny and beautiful to create a dirty old bug card lol !!

As ever our challenge runs from Monday at 0800 until 1900 on Sunday evening, please pop over and join us and then make a card/project using at least one Cricut cut, you could win our top 5 Blinkie to display on your side bar and/or the weekly prize

I used some beautiful Prima papers purchased from THE CRAFT DEN and cut my butterfly x2 with the Artiste cartridge
I was going to use Ashlyn's alphabet but the cartridge has malfunctioned since I added it to Cricut Craft Room and refuses to cut the top part of every image laying it on the "No cut edging bit !!" No idea how that happens, any offers girls?????
I embossed some of the elements on one of the papers and then made some paper flowers also cut from Artiste
I very rarely use glitter but this card cried out for some
I edged every piece with Worn Lipstick Distress ink and added the foil embellishment a present in the Christmas Cricut topper exchange I joined last year - Thanks Jenny !!

FCCB Challenge #145 Sound of Music

Happy Monday !!

Today over at FCCB our challenge is
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
The challenge runs from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday, please hop over to FCCB and see all the DT projects and add your own to join in the fun.

My card was made after a really stressful day at work yesterday crafting really is the best therapy ever!!

I have used some of my fabby new supplies from The Craft Den

The base of my card is an 8x8 white card blank with Pixie Glenn Prima paper distressed and inked.
I have finally purchased a Tim Holtz distressing tool it's fab.
I then cut a square of mini patterned paper  from the pack and matted it with pink pearl card, repeated the distressing and pink and blue chalk inking and stuck it down with Pinflair glue gel after adding the pink spider web lace.
All my Cricut cuts are from Lyrical Letter's, I love how the two swirls have made hearts - total accident lol.
I have decorated the cuts with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glue really nice for a change from gems and pearls.
The top left flowers have white flower soft and glitter sprinked on them and the bottom has Glossy accents picking out the tea cup.
Oh, nearly forgot I stamped a Kanban music stamp in the background too and sparkled it up with cosmic shimmer powder!!
Looking forward to 3 days off next week and my daughters 22nd birthday, crafty times ahead!!
