Challenge 85 Monochrome Anything Goes Challenge Blog

Welcome to my first official challenge post for Anything Goes Challenge Blog
Our challenge for the fortnight is ....
"Monochrome"
My card is made with the very versatile 5x7 card creator dies and the absolutely gorgeous Detailed Scallops both from Spellbinders and launched at CHA last week.

I stuck BoBunny Abby Road-Truffle down with Photo Glue for my first layer leaving a tiny border. Cut the largest card creator 5x7 die in embossed card from Hunkydory and used foam pads behind it.

All four of the detailed scalloped dies were used with mats from the smaller card creator dies for some definition and texture.
The beauty of the die cuts and card stock speak for themselves so I just added ribbon, a big bow and some pearls for embellishment.

The Craft Den stocks many of the products featured on my card although sadly the Spellbinder dies will not be available in the UK until they ship from the USA March time.
Please pop over the the Any Thing Goes Challenge Blog, and join in the fun !!

FCCB Challenge #146 Time Flies....x

There is nothing more fitting than the title of our challenge over at FCCB this week as
my eldest daughter celebrated her 22nd Birthday on Thursday
Oh how
TIME FLIES.....

We have been reminiscing - like you do - and so this very phrase has been bantered around a lot over the last few weeks !! x !!

Happy Birthday JOJO
My card was really simple to make. . .
Still in love with my new distressing tool I matted some Basil Basics String of Pearls Bling cardstock and BoBunny Gabrielle Fairest, inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo onto an 8x8 card blank. George and Basic Shapes Cartridge is perfect for getting the layers even if you don't like cutting "by eye" !!
I used Cricut Artiste Cartridge to cut the lovely clock and border using Tim Holtz co-ordinations card stock and sanded the brightness off, adding some cosmic shimmer glue to form the fake pearls and a brad coloured with an orange pro-marker.
The Happy Birthday letters are from Alphabet cartridge, and JOJO from Artiste.
The pearls and gems were also coloured with the pro-marker.
I stamped a large calligraphy stamp across more of the lovely papers with the addition of BoBunny Almond Dotted Swiss paper and added another border to finish off, making the inside a feature too.

Challenge #146 runs from Monday 0800 until 2400 Sunday night (SMT)
Please pop over to FCCB, give the DT some love as their creations are amazing as ever and join in the fun with your own project.
Please remember to let us know which Cricut Cartridge you use to be in with a chance of the weekly prize and top 5 blinkie for your blog.
The papers used for my card can be purchased over at the Craft Den.

FCCB Challenge #145 Sound of Music

Happy Monday !!

Today over at FCCB our challenge is
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
The challenge runs from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday, please hop over to FCCB and see all the DT projects and add your own to join in the fun.

My card was made after a really stressful day at work yesterday crafting really is the best therapy ever!!

I have used some of my fabby new supplies from The Craft Den

The base of my card is an 8x8 white card blank with Pixie Glenn Prima paper distressed and inked.
I have finally purchased a Tim Holtz distressing tool it's fab.
I then cut a square of mini patterned paper  from the pack and matted it with pink pearl card, repeated the distressing and pink and blue chalk inking and stuck it down with Pinflair glue gel after adding the pink spider web lace.
All my Cricut cuts are from Lyrical Letter's, I love how the two swirls have made hearts - total accident lol.
I have decorated the cuts with Cosmic Shimmer Pearl Glue really nice for a change from gems and pearls.
The top left flowers have white flower soft and glitter sprinked on them and the bottom has Glossy accents picking out the tea cup.
Oh, nearly forgot I stamped a Kanban music stamp in the background too and sparkled it up with cosmic shimmer powder!!
Looking forward to 3 days off next week and my daughters 22nd birthday, crafty times ahead!!

Exciting News...Anything Goes Challenge Blog DT x

Good Morning Everyone !!
Today I have some very exciting news and a very apt thank you card.

I am really excited to announce that I have been invited to join the lovely ladies over at the
YIPPEE !!
For those that don't know the Anything Goes Challenge Blog belongs to Lynn who own's the Craft Den in Sheffield UK and is coordinated by Tamara with a team of 10 more ladies, now including ME !!, "we" have a fortnightly challenge with a theme to play along too.
Below is my very own DT badge which is now proudly displayed on the left side of my blog with all the lovely ladies and their blog's listed under it.
Please pop over and see this weeks DT projects for Challenge #84 "Buttons and Bows" and enter into the fun too.
Stamps, punches and distress inks ruled today, my Expression sat very still and I'm sure he was sulking, definitely no chirping going on lol !!
I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page to make all the lacy layers and stuck them down with photo glue and Pinflair.
The stamps and Webster's papers suited the Spellbinder dies I used, everything is Inked Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye and Aged Mahogany. I used Rock Candy to crackle the sentiment but its not clear here on the pic - it's beautiful in real life very sparkly.
I absolutely love the tiny cotton reel stamp which I covered with deep embossing powder before I cut it out and added twine. I also embossed the pretty mannequin. There is a doily stamp in the background too.
Lovely buttons and bows complete my thank you card - made to say thank you to the lovely ladies at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog who have made me so welcome this week.
Many of the products used in my card are available at the Craft Den Craft Shop and Studio

Remember to use at least one Cricut cut and name the cartridge for a chance to win a fab prize and claim a top 5 blinkie for your blog.
My card is made with Papermania Wellington papers and topper. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the background cogs.
I used my favourite Stampendous embossing powders and some Tim Holtz Clear rock Candy with some ribbons and a car charm.
The papers are already distressed and I added some Pumice Stone Distress ink to blend it all together.
Mt Cricut cuts are from Artiste (I will go back to my other cartridges soon lol) I embossed the cog cuts on the front of the card and added a border strip to the inside.
It should have been pretty quick to make but for some reason it took me hours !!
I'll be back tomorrow with some exciting news and another card
