Happy Monday !!

This weeks FCCB challenge is another fantastic sketch for Card Positioning Systems

Challenge #206

I used the gorgeous Moustache kit from Hunkydory for my Dads Birthday card

I used the Artiste cartridge and cut the fabulous film strip to use across the top instead of the circles, this must be one of my favourite cuts ever !!

The letters for DAD are also from Artiste

FCCB Challenge #163 Ruffles, Ribbons and Bows

Happy Monday !!

Today is the start of another challenge over at FCCB and we are decorating our projects with at least 2 different ribbons as well as the obligatory Cricut cuts that we all love !!

Challenge #163 Ruffles,Ribbons and Bows
Use 2 types of ribbon on your project

My card is also for my Nan who recently celebrated her 92nd Birthday
I must have had something of a brain storm  because I took my photographs before I added the bling and didn't take a finished pic at all !!
My Cricut cut is the Elegant Edges cartridge flower pattern behind the decoupage topper which is a Hunkydory freebie kit

Please pop over and see the DT projects on the FCCB challenge blog and then join in the fun with your own project. The challenge is open until 1900 (MT) Sunday evening and I will be announcing the winners of last weeks challenge on Wednesday as always

Challenge 85 Monochrome Anything Goes Challenge Blog

Welcome to my first official challenge post for Anything Goes Challenge Blog
Our challenge for the fortnight is ....
"Monochrome"
My card is made with the very versatile 5x7 card creator dies and the absolutely gorgeous Detailed Scallops both from Spellbinders and launched at CHA last week.

I stuck BoBunny Abby Road-Truffle down with Photo Glue for my first layer leaving a tiny border. Cut the largest card creator 5x7 die in embossed card from Hunkydory and used foam pads behind it.

All four of the detailed scalloped dies were used with mats from the smaller card creator dies for some definition and texture.
The beauty of the die cuts and card stock speak for themselves so I just added ribbon, a big bow and some pearls for embellishment.

The Craft Den stocks many of the products featured on my card although sadly the Spellbinder dies will not be available in the UK until they ship from the USA March time.
Please pop over the the Any Thing Goes Challenge Blog, and join in the fun !!

Venetian Birthday Card

I love Christmas but it has been so nice to go back to some Birthday cards this last week lol !!
For this card I combined a beautiful mask topper from a Hunkydory kit with my Venetian Spellbinders.
It was so quick to make, fab for last minute requests.

I love cards with feathers on they always look so elegant.

Venetian Spellbinders !!!!! Thank you card x

My new Spellbinder Venetian Accents and Motifs arrived yesterday morning !!
Instant love !!
They have been on pre-order, from Oyster Stamps, since July and the wait has felt like a very very long one lol (Now I remember what it is like for little ones counting down to Christmas)
I'm looking forward to a cruise round blog land as I'm sure there are lots of other happy peeps around in cyber space too !!

I had literally just sat down to decide on my theme for a thank you card I wanted to make when "posty" stopped by ......
..... Oh sooo pretty !! .....
..... Theme oh sooo sorted !! .....

I have used a Hunkydory Kit and combined it with the Venetian dies.
Enough sneaky peeks  ???

Here is the whole card...
I used the papers from the kit for the background, the border and round motif. Gold and black patterned card for the label  and 3 motifs and lastly the mask and swirl motif cut from dull gold card.
I used a little bit of  sparkly black embossing  powder and some black glitter to bring the elements together with the huge feather with matching ribbon again from the kit.
I finished it off with lots of gems and pearls, love that mask!!

I have entered my card into the following challenges
Diva's by Design - Friendship
My Mums Craft Shop - Anything Goes
The Ribbon Girl - Just Add Pearls
PaperTake Weekly - Anything Goes

Happy Birthday Ann x

April Birthday number three marks my sister Ann's tomorrow, I have used Webster's papers for a bright fresh spring like theme with some lace, velvet ribbon and antique linen distress ink to tie it all together.

The letter's are Papermania's promarkered green.

For the middle section I cut a lace border frame onto  blue paper on my Cricut ( for both the front and back) with the Elegant Edges cartridge. I then cut the centre out with a spellbinder label die and stuck the middle onto the the 3rd side of the card.

I then made the hatpin and cut Spellbinder roses and leaves to decortate on both sides.

The frog charm is tied with string onto a small spellbinder label in silver and the smallest die created the cameo effect. There is a Marianne design corner there too.

The back is finished with a little corner pocket to keep  a gift card safe.
