Anything Goes Challenge 89 Mail it !!

Good morning from snowy Lincoln
I'm coming out of hybernation to share my card for
Challenge 89
Mail it...

...This fortnight we challenge you to make a card with an envelope, stamp, post card etc on it
Please pop over and visit us at Anything Goes and add your project and join in the fun !!

I used a lovely stamp of a cat holding an envelope as the center of my card and coloured her with Pro-markers. I took the whiteness off the Neenah stamp card with Rusty Hinge Distress ink, having gone way too far I sprinkled water on it to add some highlights !!

I stamped the post card and tiny envelopes onto some freebie papers with no name

I used a 8x8 card blank which turned out to measure 71/2" square, cheeky !! and used 6x6 papers to cover it - sticking squares from the centre of each piece into the missing corners and hiding the joins - just cause I wanted something bright and cheerful to remind us spring IS coming lol

I used my Cricut and Elegant Edges cartridge to make the postage stamp shadow and frame

I made the hat pins up and then the flowers and butterflies from various dies and punches, I love making flowers when it's way too cold for the real ones to bloom !!

Pop over and visit Lynn at the Craft Den, she sells many of the products used in my cards

Anything Goes Challenge 88 Seeing Double

Today starts our new fortnightly challenge over at the
Anything Goes Challenge Blog
We are seeing double for Challenge 88!!

I decided to take the challenge literally and stamped my image twice on acetate, coloured the beautiful ladies  (freebie DoCrafts) in with Promarkers and then turned one over, (Sandwiching the acetate between the frame and white card and then sticking them onto the black card)
I used StazOn Ink,  let the stamp dry slightly for 15 seconds once inked up and made the impression quickly without moving the stamp (Eventually !!!) - Colour on the reverse side to the ink to stop it bleeding

I used those amazing  Spellbinder 5x7 Card Creators, cutting out 2 black oblongs, 2 white oblongs and 3 frames
I used Flitter Glu and Gilding flakes in Sunshine on the frames to match the Orange and Yellow Promarkers

I stuck one frame to the front of a landscape A5 card blank (at the crease end), then the largest frame inside and the third flush on the back cutting off the white excess

I stamped the sentiment and pattern stamps onto card stock and used foam pads ...
...Top Tip  never Promarker onto the actual card it makes an unholy mess on the back lol

I'm looking forward to seeing all the fantastic "Seeing Double" entries please come and play along with us ...
... and pay a visit to Lynn's amazing Craft Den on line shop where lots of the products used can be purchased

FCCB Challenge #150 Fun with Puns

Happy Monday !!
Thank you for hopping over to see my card for the
Challenge #150
"Fun with Puns"

I struggled with this one no less because I am currently on rest duty having fallen over a loose brick in the path at work and hurt my back (again)!!
BUT...
not to be down hearted
I spent ages surfing the net, having a laugh at some of the dreadful jokes out there in cyber space and making my bright and cheerful card!!
My card is sending "Hoppy News"
I used core'dinations card stock to emboss the pretty butterflies and sanded it to let the core color show through.
I cut the 2nd largest 5x7 Spellbinder card creator die, distressed and inked the edges before sticking it onto a 5x7 card blank.
I used my Promarkers to colour the frog stamp and matted it on matching card and added some gems.
The little bee's are made by craft time, so cute!!
Last but not least my cricut cuts ate the two frogs both from Paper Dolls Dress Up
This must be my fastest made DT card ever but the most fantastic thing about blogging and crafting is the fact that you can pick it up put it down and it will be just the same an hour later - perfect for me cause i don't know if I should sit stand or lay down at the moment lol !!

Please pop over to FCCB and see the fabulous DT creations, then make your own project and join in the fun

As always please remember to use a least one Cricut cut and name the cartridge  to be in with a chance of the weekly prize and top 5 project blinkie

FCCB Challenge #149 Kiss The Cook x

OH YEAH !!
We all love the cook x

Hello and welcome to my Monday post for FCCB
Challenge #149 Kiss the Cook
This week we were challenged by the lovely Janea to use a recipe on our project and here's what I came up with using the beautiful Lili of the Valley stamps "Sprinkled with Sugar" and "Recipe Sentiments" and of course my amazing Cricut Expression 2
I love my little pinny but it was the very devil to photograph but I have several close ups to share as always
I used Every Day Paper Dolls Cartridge to make my pinny - cut at fit to page on plain white card, 12x12  Papermania Spring Time Papers and flocked white Doodle Bug card stock
I cut the little oven gloves, wooden spoon and rolling pin using the cut to scale button to make life easy. I then cut a white piece of Kanban stamping card at 90mm with a patterned shadow cut using George and Basic Shapes cartridge
I cut the top of the pinny in the flock card, stuck it onto the white card and then added the bottom half in pink gingham after pleating 2 paper doilies around the back to create the lace. They were glued in place with Cosmic Shimmer Glue
Every piece was highlighted around the edges with VersaColor ink in Baby Blue and Petal Pink
As promised to Lorraine out came the stamps and Promarkers, I used the blue Versa Color  ink again and embossed in holographic powder to keep the images soft but sparkly
I used seam binding for the ties and lots of lovely card candi sent to me by Lynn at the Craft Den to finish.
Please pop over and visit the fabulous design team at FCCB and then join us with your own project. Mr Linky is open from 0800 Monday until 2400 Sunday.
Please use at least 1 cricut cut and tell us which cart it is from to be in with a chance of a prize and top 5 Blinkie for your blog.

Happy Birthday Ann x

April Birthday number three marks my sister Ann's tomorrow, I have used Webster's papers for a bright fresh spring like theme with some lace, velvet ribbon and antique linen distress ink to tie it all together.

The letter's are Papermania's promarkered green.

For the middle section I cut a lace border frame onto  blue paper on my Cricut ( for both the front and back) with the Elegant Edges cartridge. I then cut the centre out with a spellbinder label die and stuck the middle onto the the 3rd side of the card.

I then made the hatpin and cut Spellbinder roses and leaves to decortate on both sides.

The frog charm is tied with string onto a small spellbinder label in silver and the smallest die created the cameo effect. There is a Marianne design corner there too.

The back is finished with a little corner pocket to keep  a gift card safe.
