Commission Card...Baby Vinnie x

This card is a commission, made to welcome a very special baby into the world and to congratulate his Mum and Dad on his arrival. The lady who requested the card tells me they have had a very long hard journey and many tears to get him here, their story reminds me of just how much we all take for granted every day !!
 xhugsx
I have used my faithful Cricut and Sampler Cartridge to make this card, using Me to You backing papers, gorgeous blue lace and lots of gems.
I used Faded Jeans distress ink for definition...
...and Papermania letters and peel off numbers, on a spellbinders die cut oval, for the most important part topped off with a triple bow!!

I am entering Vinnie's card into the following challenges:
Allsorts "Ice Cream Colours"
The Paper Shelter "Anything Goes"
Fussy and Fancy "Boy Attitude

"Try it on Tuesday "Anything Goes"

For Lisa x

This is a card commissioned by the lads in our local pub's dart team so plenty of space for all those signatures needed here!! Bless them they have hearts of  gold for all their testosterone fuelled, beer drinking, blarney !! (Joking boys !! xox)
I've used another of the fabulous Papermania Foldies 6"x6" square cards as the are great for "collection" cards.
I've used a combination of Papermania Lincoln Linen papers and the pretty bits from its collection and printed sheets of thin printer card and glossy paper with coordinating yellow papers from the Capsule Collection DVD.
From the back
From the front
I like to make these cards in stages as it would be quite easy to get lost in the 10 sides and make a mess lol!!
So I first spent time time using the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge to cut the background papers.
I printed some of the Urban Stamps from the DVD and die cut some with Spellbinder label dies and hand cut some of the little shapes. I kept them black to add some definition and distress inked every single edge.
Spellbinder and Marianne D roses as ever .....

This flower is made from a used, inked, tumble dryer sheet
....and some embossing.
I completed all of the card before embellishing with lots of gems, flowers, tiny bows and a little bit of ribbon.

From this .....
...To this.

Congratulations x

My hairdresser Kirsty has just had a beautiful baby boy....he is absolutely gorgeous I met him this morning !! Oh he's soooo very very cute !!
Here is the card I made for her to celebrate his birth.
I used a spellbinder die for the name plaque and made the rattles from the Cricut Sampler Cartridge. I  kept it clean and simple, matting and layering the co-ordinating Me to You papers with a piece of Papermania.textured card.  I added pretty ribbons and lace and some capsule collection gems .
I love the 'itty bitty little feet but cannot remember where they came from :-(

Happy Birthday NAN x

Birthday wishes are on their way to Wales for my Nan who will be 91 years young on Thursday, I cannot believe its a whole year since her big 90 party !!

(I made her a lovely 8x8 scrapbook full of party photo's and didn't photograph a single page - one day I will borrow it back!!)

The card is made with the latest DoCrafts goody bag and really really simple to make. I love the Lincoln Linen Capsule Collection - the only added extra's  are the Happy Birthday message and the letters, cut with Sizzix dies, and embossed with pale gold embossing powder. I recycled some of the gems from the glitter flowers - I took them off to replace with the fab buttons and stuck them onto the border strip quick smart lol.

Happy Birthday Ann x

April Birthday number three marks my sister Ann's tomorrow, I have used Webster's papers for a bright fresh spring like theme with some lace, velvet ribbon and antique linen distress ink to tie it all together.

The letter's are Papermania's promarkered green.

For the middle section I cut a lace border frame onto  blue paper on my Cricut ( for both the front and back) with the Elegant Edges cartridge. I then cut the centre out with a spellbinder label die and stuck the middle onto the the 3rd side of the card.

I then made the hatpin and cut Spellbinder roses and leaves to decortate on both sides.

The frog charm is tied with string onto a small spellbinder label in silver and the smallest die created the cameo effect. There is a Marianne design corner there too.

The back is finished with a little corner pocket to keep  a gift card safe.

This is the "other" Mother's Day card I made for daughter JoJo's "nearly" mother in law. Thought I should get into the habit of cyber recording all my personal cards makes so everyone gets something totally different next year lol how's that for a brain wave after 2 night shifts ? ?  ...... Just entering my 22nd sleep deprived  hour .... yawn bed time sooon for me !! x

My eldest daughter JoJo needed what she called a "quirky" birthday card big enough for her work colleagues to sign for their bosses 30th birthday.

Not only is it quirky it goes on and on and on .........

I have fallen in love with the urban stamps on the papermania capsule collection DVD and also the overlays. It was really easy to put together with a little help from Cricut's Elegant Edges cartridge and a "foldies card"

JoJo said no flowers :( but i managed to sneak four paper ones in, hidden with blue jeans distress ink lol x
Do you think she will notice ??

Noooo ....... She will be too busy worrying about the fact she has to cut and tie the bow on the front once they have all written in it before it goes in the box !! love it !!

Today I have thank you cards for my daughter Emma to give to her college tutors. They are a bit out of my comfort zone but I really enjoyed making them.

I used 2 6x6 card blanks to create the "envelope" style cards, covered them in  new papermania papers and edged them with lace.

I added some embossed stamp images in white from the same range

and some subtle mica spray in gold, peach and copper with some tea dye distress ink here and there

Emma wrote her messages in a downloaded post card from the new papermania capsule collection DVD and we embossed them for prosperity on the backed pull out card.

I can't resist flowers so one popped up like magic just because I can lol x

Mothering Sunday

Finally !!
I have made countless cards since my last blog post and not taken a photogragh of any of them. Here is my Mum's Mothering Sunday card, Nan's was written and the envelope stuck down before I remembered lol!!

I love making paper flowers to match the background paper's these are a mixture of Marianne Design's roses, a Spellbinder's flower and a tiny rosette made from a thin scrap folded on the Crafters Companion Ultimate Pro.
